About the Role
Golden Bell's Multi Concepts (GBMC) Limited is a premier hospitality consulting and management firm dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Air Conditioning Technician to join our dynamic Housekeeping and Maintenance department at our Peter Odili location in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the highest standards of comfort, safety, and operational efficiency across our facilities by ensuring all cooling and ventilation systems function flawlessly.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair various types of air conditioning systems, including split units, VRF systems, and packaged units.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance checks to identify potential faults and ensure optimal energy efficiency.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical malfunctions swiftly and execute effective repairs to minimize downtime.
- Perform refrigerant gas charging, coil cleaning, and compressor troubleshooting as required.
- Respond promptly to maintenance work orders and emergency call-outs regarding climate control issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of spare parts and tools.
- Ensure all HVAC operations comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Minimum of a Trade Test Certificate, OND, or relevant vocational qualification in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
- Proven hands-on experience as an Air Conditioning Technician, preferably within the hospitality or facility management sector.
- Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, electrical wiring diagrams, and HVAC troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact professionally with staff and guests.
- Resident in or willing to commute to Peter Odili, Port Harcourt.
