About the Role
Faith Comprehensive International Secondary School (FACISS) is a prominent co-educational day and boarding secondary institution located at No. 17 School Road, Okutukutu, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Nigeria. We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified Agriculture Teacher to join our dynamic faculty and inspire students through comprehensive agricultural education.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and comprehensive agricultural science lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.
- Supervise and guide students through practical agricultural activities, including school farm management and crop and livestock production.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate academic records.
- Foster a safe, disciplined, and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and inquiry.
- Participate in school extracurricular activities, departmental meetings, and community development initiatives.
- Counsel and mentor students to uphold the moral and academic standards of the institution.
- Possess a minimum of a Bachelor of Agriculture, Bachelor of Education in Agriculture, or related relevant qualifications from a recognized institution.
- Proven teaching experience in a secondary school environment is highly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of modern agricultural practices, crop science, and animal husbandry.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Strong commitment to moral, spiritual, and academic development of students.
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
