We are currently looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team in Lagos.
Key Responsibilities- Verify, process, and manage vendor invoices, payment requests, and employee expense reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure proper authorization, documentation, and compliance with company financial policies.
- Perform weekly vendor and contractor statement reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve payment inquiries promptly.
- Prepare monthly payroll, payslips, departmental budgets, payment vouchers, and sales commission disbursements.
- Generate accurate payment schedules, manage aged payables, and conduct routine bank reconciliations.
- Maintain up-to-date and secure records of vendor databases, payment confirmations, and accounting ledgers while supporting audit requirements.
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting from a reputable institution with a minimum of 3 years of proven experience in accounts payable or data entry.
- Proficiency in using modern financial software and enterprise accounting systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a sense of urgency, meet strict deadlines, and maintain thoroughness.
