About the Role
A reputable hotel is looking to hire a diligent and analytical Accountant / Auditor to join its finance team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in protecting the organization's financial health by conducting thorough audits, ensuring regulatory compliance, and strengthening internal controls across all departments.
Key Responsibilities- Review financial records, processes, and internal controls to identify errors, fraud, or waste
- Conduct compliance checks to ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements
- Perform risk assessments to identify financial and operational risks, and recommend appropriate controls
- Carry out field audits by visiting departments and branches to verify assets, inventory, and cash balances
- Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, recommendations, and actionable plans for management
- Follow up on previously issued audit recommendations to confirm proper implementation
- Collaborate with department heads to promote accountability and transparency in financial operations
- Support management in strengthening financial policies and procedures to prevent future discrepancies
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage
- Minimum of 2-4 years' experience in auditing, accounting, or a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and internal control systems
- Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and confidentiality
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing and presentations
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple audit assignments effectively
