About the Role
Everty owns and develops prime real estate around the world, with a diverse portfolio of Class-A commercial, residential, hotel, and mixed-use properties spanning the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team and support the accurate and timely reporting of our financial operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven accounting professional to contribute to a globally recognized real estate organization.
As an Accountant at Everty, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across departments to deliver reliable financial insights that support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Post daily accounting entries based on company transactions
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present findings to relevant stakeholders
- Analyze financial information and summarize the company's financial status
- Prepare monthly cashflows in line with approved budgets
- Prepare financial statements and produce budgets according to schedule
- Assist with VAT, WHT, PAYE, and other statutory filings
- Coordinate and manage external audits to ensure full compliance
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Professional accounting certification such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent
- 3-5 years' experience in accounting, financial reporting, or bookkeeping
- Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Experience working within a matrix organization, with strong functional reporting and stakeholder partnership skills
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills for managing internal stakeholders and end users
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and adaptable, with strong technical skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Must have completed the compulsory 1-year NYSC or possess an exemption certificate
- A valid and up-to-date National Identity Card/NIMC slip is required upon commencement
