We are currently seeking a meticulous and driven Accountant to oversee our financial operations, manage statutory compliance, and ensure absolute fiscal accuracy.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain complete and accurate books, ledgers, invoices, receipts, and supporting financial documents.
- Perform bank, vendor, and customer reconciliations while promptly investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Manage accounts receivable and payable, client fee records, collections, and structured payment schedules.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly management accounts, income and expenditure reports, and cash-flow updates.
- Maintain entity-specific accounting records and reconcile approved intercompany transactions efficiently.
- Prepare, file, and monitor all applicable tax returns and statutory remittances, including VAT, WHT, PAYE, and Company Income Tax, within statutory deadlines.
- Liaise directly with regulatory bodies such as the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), LIRS, and CAC regarding routine filings and compliance enquiries.
- Support budgeting, expense approvals, audit readiness, and internal financial controls.
- Utilize Zoho Books and advanced Excel to generate timely and insightful financial reports for management.
- Possession of a Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Approximately 2 to 4 years of hands-on accounting experience, covering financial reporting and bank reconciliations.
- Practical knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, statutory remittances, and direct interaction with regulatory agencies like FIRS and LIRS.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with prior experience using Zoho Books considered a distinct advantage.
- Progress towards professional certification such as ACA or ACCA is highly desirable.
