About the Role
Power Ark Infrastructure Ltd delivers end-to-end photovoltaic and energy storage solutions, empowering developing markets across Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia with reliable energy access. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this role, you will oversee our core accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain robust internal controls, and drive statutory compliance to support our rapidly expanding renewable energy footprint.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily bookkeeping, journal entries, and general ledger transactions accurately.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly financial statements, management accounts, and cash flow reports.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and oversee accounts payable and receivable.
- Process invoices, receipts, supplier payments, and other critical financial transactions.
- Maintain inventory accounting records and reconcile stock values for solar products and equipment.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and overall profitability to optimize financial performance.
- Ensure proper financial documentation, internal controls, and full audit compliance.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities.
- Provide actionable financial analysis and recommendations to guide management decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is mandatory.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven in-house accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, taxation, reconciliations, and accounting principles.
- Practical experience in inventory accounting, budgeting, and cost control.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern accounting software.
- Exceptional analytical skills, high attention to detail, and uncompromising professional integrity.
- Previous experience in solar, renewable energy, engineering, equipment distribution, or project-based industries is a distinct advantage.
