We are seeking a skilled Accountant to manage our financial operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping, financial reporting, cost analysis, and full compliance with Nigerian financial regulations. In this key role, you will track costs related to operational activities, provide strategic insights to optimize financial performance, and contribute to informed business decisions across our expanding service environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain comprehensive financial records, journals, ledgers, and reconciliations in compliance with accounting standards.
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to support management decision-making.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on costs associated with sales, inventory, and operational activities.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, conduct variance analysis, and implement corrective budgeting actions.
- Ensure full compliance with local tax laws, VAT, payroll taxes, and corporate tax obligations.
- Assist with annual audits by providing necessary documentation and financial explanations.
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA is strongly preferred.
- 2 to 5 years of proven accounting experience, with exposure to cost accounting within a spa, salon, or cafe services environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics, alongside advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Deep understanding of IFRS, GAAP, and Nigerian tax regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
