About the Role

A4&T Power, a leading EPC company in the Renewable Energy sector, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join its finance team. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who will manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the company's mission of delivering clean, accessible energy through Solar Home Systems, Mini-Grid construction, Roof-Top Installations, and C&I projects.

As Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of the organization by ensuring accurate record-keeping, timely statutory filings, and adherence to accounting best practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support the company's growth objectives while upholding the highest standards of financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and accounting transactions.
  • Process journal entries, invoices, payments, receipts, and other financial documents.
  • Monitor accounts payable and ensure timely payment of suppliers and vendors.
  • Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding customer payments.
  • Prepare and file statutory returns including VAT, PAYE, WHT, Pension, NSITF, ITF, and other applicable taxes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and Nigerian tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
